The remains of Stegosaurus, the "plated reptile" are found in late Jurassic
(140-155 million year old) rocks in the Western United States. This plant-eating
dinosaur reached a length of up to 22 ft. (7 m) and a weight of 6 tons.
This
kit allows you to excavate, restore and display a 12" (29 cm) reproduction
of its skeleton, embedded in a 12" x 9" slate-like slab of rock.
